What is Aliens: Fireteam Elite?

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is a cooperative third-person survival game set in the iconic Alien Universe. Battle through hordes of different types of Xenomorph, customize your character and gear, and level-up as you try to contain this ever-growing threat.

What platforms is Aliens: Fireteam Elite available on?

Aliens: Fireteam Elite is available on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch (coming soon) & Steam!

What is Aliens: Fireteam Elite - Pathogen?

Pathogen is a paid expansion to Aliens: Fireteam Elite. It brings a new campaign and three new story missions to players, along with new maps, new enemies, and loads of unlockables and rewards.

Is the Pathogen Expansion available separately, if I already own the base game?

Yes. The Pathogen Expansion can be purchased separately, but the base game is needed to access the content in the expansion.

Does matchmaking allow players who don’t own the Pathogen expansion the Pathogen expansion to match with those who do in the new missions?

No, only players who own Pathogen will be able to match when playing the Pathogen campaign missions.

Why am I experiencing lag and/or latency issues?

Aliens: Fireteam Elites is a peer-to-peer game with crossplay. If you encounter unexpected latency or connectivity issues, it may be due to the host having an older generation platform or a poor internet connection. If these issues persist, you can turn off crossplay in your settings, or have the player on Steam or a newer generation console with the best Internet host.

Is Aliens: Fireteam Elite a live service game?

No, Aliens: Fireteam Elite is not a live service game.

Can Aliens: Fireteam Elite be played in split screen or via LAN for local multiplayer?

Aliens Fireteam Elite can only be played in multiplayer while online. You can invite your friends to play with you through the respective platform's friends list or through the Crossplay feature. Note that you also have the option to play solo and offline with bots on your team.

What is the Endeavor Pass?

The Endeavor Pass contains four cosmetic DLC packs released throughout the first year from launch. These DLC packs include cosmetic items, in-game currency, consumables, and challenge cards and are available in the Ultimate Edition, Ultimate Edition Upgrade, or separately.

Are all outfits available for all class Kits?

Yes. We’ve added the DLC skins to all Class Kits, including those released after launch.

What is Cold Iron Studios’ stance on modding?

Modifying Aliens: Fireteam Elite in any way is currently not supported or encouraged. In order to prevent negatively affecting the experience of other players, players who modify their game will not be able to use public matchmaking. Private matchmaking will remains enabled for players running the same mods together.
